About Me
Hi, I’m Mitch — a sports and general podiatrist dedicated to helping people move better, stay active, and feel confident on their feet. I’ve completed a Master of Podiatric Practice and a Master of Sports Medicine, where my major project focused on developing a modern rehabilitation protocol for post-surgical Lisfranc injuries.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m also a semi-professional athlete, playing for the Coburg Lions in the VFL. Competing at this level gives me a firsthand understanding of what athletes need — the pressures of returning safely, the importance of clear communication, and the value of strong, evidence-led rehabilitation. This perspective shapes the way I treat every patient, athlete or not.
I currently consult across both private practice and elite sporting environments. These experiences allow me to deliver high-level clinical reasoning, modern biomechanics assessment, and access to gym-based rehabilitation for accurate strength testing and targeted recovery.
Having recently moved to the Gisborne community, I’m committed to providing genuine, high-quality podiatry care that supports locals of all ages and activity levels. Whether you're managing a sports injury, dealing with everyday foot pain, or looking to move with more confidence, my goal is simple: help you get back to what you love — stronger, more mobile, and pain-free.
